About Shishukunj
Our motto at The Shishukunj International School, North Campus, ‘Let every bud bloom’, is the driving force behind creating a nurturing and encouraging school environment for our remarkable Shishyans.
We aim to foster a supportive and inclusive space where every child is acknowledged, respected, and encouraged to thrive, feeling visible, valued, and confident in his/her individuality. Our mission is to provide a myriad of opportunities for our students to make vast strides in terms of personal and academic growth, encouraging a deep understanding of unity in diversity.
We aim to nurture happy and balanced individuals who accept life in all its diversity, take full responsibility for their thoughts and actions, and make a positive impact on the world.
Aim
“More than ever before in human history, we share a common destiny. We can master it only if we face it together. And that, my friends, is why we have the United Nations.” - Kofi Annan
Our mission here at Shishukunj North Campus Model United Nations strongly resonates with the profound words of Kofi Annan, and we aspire to mould our Shishyans into responsible global citizens and future leaders.
In addition to encouraging a variety of viewpoints that contradict their worldview, we seek to instill in our Shishyans a sense of enthusiasm for learning not only about international interactions, politics, and complicated global challenges but also to prepare a personality that will be able to cater to the demanding needs of this dynamic world.
We guide our shishyans to analyse an issue objectively and develop a sense that will facilitate them to come up with well-rounded arguments, backed by compelling evidence and structured reasoning. The environment provides Shishyans to boldly step out of their comfort zone, to practise their public speaking skills through debates and speeches.
It is a thrilling and intellectually stimulating environment, cultivating leaders who can navigate stormy seas, make tough decisions, and forge consensus among diverse voices. Encouraging them to delve into complex global conundrums, they emerge as critical thinkers and innovative problem-solvers, armed with the skills to shape a brighter future for all.
Nelson Mandela so aptly said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
NCMUN is just that platform which we have created to empower our Shishyans to wield this weapon with skill and compassion, ready to tackle the challenges of tomorrow's world.
NCMUN
“Saving our planet, lifting people out of poverty, advancing economic growth - these are one and the same fight. We must connect the dots between climate change, water scarcity, energy shortages, global health, food security, and women's empowerment. Solutions to one problem must be solutions for all."
- Ban Ki-moon, Former UN Secretary-General
We proudly welcome you to the third iteration of the Shishukunj North Campus Model United Nations (NC MUN) - a platform where diplomacy is passionately met with constructive dialogues that further helps in shaping perspective, and where future changemakers rise.
Rooted in the spirit of our 2025 theme, "In Harmony We Grow," NC MUN seeks to foster collaboration, empathy, and mutual respect as guiding values in global conversations. We believe that true progress stems not just from debate, but from understanding - not just from advocacy, but from unity.
NC MUN empowers our Shishyans to think critically, act diplomatically, and lead with compassion. It offers a space for delegates to unravel complex international challenges, build strategic alliances, and craft resolutions that reflect a balance of justice, innovation, and inclusivity.
Backed by a dedicated Secretariat and an experienced Bureau, NC MUN ensures that every delegate is given an opportunity to engage meaningfully, grow intellectually, and immerse themselves in a truly transformative MUN experience.
This year, NC MUN will host 11 dynamic committees, each designed to spark conversation, challenge thought, and inspire leadership:
1. United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
2. World Trade Organisation (WTO)
3. UN Women
4. Constituent Assembly of India (1949)
5. United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
6. Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)
7. United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA)
8. International Maritime Organisation (IMO)
9. United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
10. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
11. International Committee for Sports and Education (ICSE)
Each committee embodies unique global themes, from climate resilience and economic reform to gender equality, space governance, and educational advancement through sports.
At NC MUN 2025, delegates will not only debate policies but also build bridges across ideologies, across cultures, and across the future they wish to create.
In Harmony, We Grow. Let the journey begin.
